Carlo

Hello

Hi, I’m Carlo, a photographer based in Chester.

Most people who sit in front of my camera tell me the same thing first: “I’m not photogenic, I always come out badly.” They’re usually wrong, and the reason has less to do with their face than with how the session is run. Give someone a few minutes to stop performing, and the photograph takes care of itself.

That’s most of my work: headshots and portraits for people who need a good picture of themselves and don’t particularly enjoy the process. The rest is weddings, concerts and events, where the job is the opposite one, staying out of the way while something happens.

What people say

“You have worked wonders my friend and achieved the impossible. Not only extremely professional but your manner was fantastic. So much enthusiasm and humour too.”

Senior Operations Manager

“That short session really has shown what potential a camera can hold in the master’s hands.”

Predictive Services Engineer, headshot session

“My brief was to capture as many of the party goers as possible whilst being invisible. Carlo did the most fabulous job, so much so we extended the job of one evening to three.”

Kerry Livens, Photography Studio Manager at Iceland

“Thank you for making us all feel so relaxed, to the point that we forgot you were there sometimes. I would certainly recommend you to anyone who asks if I know of an excellent wedding photographer.”

Lynda, wedding client

How it works

£150 for a 1.5 hour session, covering headshots, portraits, pets and product work.

  • Add £50 for a full studio setup, with backdrop and flash
  • Events are £150 for 2 hours, then £50 per extra half hour
  • Corporate events are £100 an hour
  • Weddings are quoted individually

No VAT, no travel charge, no surprises at the end. Your photos arrive in a private online gallery within a couple of days, ready to download.

I photograph alongside a full time engineering job, which means evenings after 5pm, Fridays, and weekends are the easy slots. For anything bigger I’ll book time off, so it’s worth asking.
